HOMEWORK - February 3

The students started to write about the main character in their India story.  We learned that a character needs to be described using physical and personality traits to make it interesting.  The students are practicing describing their main character in an interesting way that connects to the story about India.  

Character

Physical Traits: What does the character look like

color of hair, color of eyes, skin, clothes, shoes, boy or girl(gender), freckles, glasses, jewelry, etc. 

Personality Traits: What kind of person they are

kind, caring, sad, shy, athletic, rude, helpful, like to play games, sassy, swimmer, friendly, tv/video games, lazy, energetic, bully, crazy, tired, funny, sick, smart, etc.

Please remind your child to complete the character description of the story.  Students have been asked to NOT write the whole story and to stop after describing their character.  We will be doing the next step, setting, tomorrow.  It is very important that your child brings back their journal to school tomorrow so we can continue with writing the story tomorrow. Thank you
