We are beginning to work on understanding numbers to 1000 in math this week. We will be doing various games and activities to practice making numbers, recognizing numbers and writing numbers to 1000. Students are encouraged to practice basic facts for addition and subtraction to 20 at home to increase fluency. Using die and cards are great ways to make this practice more fun.
We have been practicing journalling techniques to prepare for Library school next week. Today we learned a technique called Looking at Architecture. We used a picture of the Saddledome to explore the physical features, construction, adaptations and value.
