"How Can We Understand the World Through Stories?' We brainstormed today for what we think a story is.

WHAT IS A STORY?
Landon - "A magical and amazing adventure."
Tayvia - "Getting more information about the word."
Mackenzie - "Something you have to explore."
Chase - "It tells you about what it is."
Ella - "It tells you about fiction and nonfiction stuff."
Henry - "Understanding something with pictures that don't include words."
Coen - "Helping to grow your imagination."
Yara - " It helps you know new things you didn't know before."
Paige - " Helps you get better at reading."
Colby H. - " It shows you the world."
Andrea - "Some if them teach lessons."
Alexys - "A story is something that you learn from."
Jaelyn - "It's a fun activity."
Jacob - "It'a tale people can write to help you be kind to others."
Adreille - "It helps you to know what the world is like."
Charlie - "It is an adventure."
Colby N. - " It helps you learn."
Tianna - "Helps you learn new vocabulary."
Peyton - "Something you get from your imagination."
Chloe - "It's your imagination growing."
Brody - "It has fun pictures."
Damon - "It makes your brain grow bigger because you look at the pictures and you make the words up in your mind."
Fisher - "Can get you better at spelling and writing and reading too."  


In groups we brainstormed for what we want to know about someone's story.  Ask your child what they think would be good questions to ask someone if they wanted to know about their life story.
